This amazing sunset was waiting for me as I left work last week...literally around the block from the office/shop I work at. Even a sunset of this beauty managed to make Long Island City glimmer with beauty. As a stood in the quiet streets firing off about 65 pictures hand held (because of course I didn't lug my tripod to work this day) another guy saw me looking at the sky and stopped to admire as well. He tried to steady his iPhone 4 on the hood of his car to capture the sky as it was quickly fading away and all I could think was somehow no matter how cool iPhone fan boys say the iPhone 4 camera is my D90 would produce a far better image.
Caught this after walking out of the office to go home. This was one of those rare sky moments where even Long Island City looked good in the foreground.
