The Bank of China Tower is easily the most recognizable building in Hong Kong and for good reason. The building is actually a pretty cool piece of architecture even amongst all the funky modern skyscrapers in Hong Kong jockeying for attention with crazy shapes, styles or in some cases just downright loud and ugly designs. Not really captured in the photo is the fact that the "X's" on the building are a series of lights designed with a certain amount of control and the building sort of dances in light throughout the night.
Also, similar to New York City, there is traffic all night long and the cool light streaks are mostly from taxis going back and forth in a continuous stream.
