Old Wobbly Bridge

We were very lucky with the weather in London...I think that it really only rained once in a week and we had some really nice sunrises and sunsets which from what I understand is not typical in London this time of year.  It was certainly cold, walking around the city in November, but the rain staying away was a nice surprise.

This shot is of the Millennium Bridge over the Thames Bridge.  Apparently the locals call it the wobbly bridge because when it first opened it stayed open only for a matter of days before closing for repairs for swaying and rocking while pedestrians walked across.  I don;t know, but a rocking bridge sounds kind of fun.  That would be a must see for anyone visiting!

Parliament

This image pretty much speaks for itself.  I would imagine that the British Parliament buildings and Big Ben really can't look bad whether rain, snow, fog or an overcast day.  Luckily, we had a nice sunset and a clear day so the buildings really glowed against the sky.

I spent a good deal of time trying to find a unique angle to capture the building but ultimately, after seeing dozens of other photographers trying like me in vein for a unique shot, I gave in and went all in for the post card shot.  I say there is no shame in going for the money shot when you can!
